THE MAN BEHIND THE CAMERA
My name is Howard Saavedra, the creative mind behind Howard Saavedra Films. My journey into filmmaking didn’t start in a classroom or a Youtube University. My journey is rooted in love and resilience. After receiving the news that my girlfriend's cancer came back and she only had 3 months to live I left my corporate job and moved to Canada to marry her, carrying with me a dream of building a family through storytelling. Although that dream changed on June 16, 2021, the love and obsession I once had for caring for her transformed into a passion for capturing stories through the lens of a camera.
I approach each project with a problem-solving mindset, ensuring that my clients always leave our meetings with valuable insights—it's important to me that they feel supported every step of the way. I pride myself on anticipating needs and creating a collaborative atmosphere where we can both have fun and get things done.
Filmmaking excites me, not just as a craft, but as an emotional experience. I focus on the intricacies of camera angles, lighting, and story crafting, always aiming to create films that leave a lasting impact.
Outside of filmmaking, I'm a loud introvert—comfortable in the spotlight but more often a quite observer. I love sports, from CrossFit to hiking and wakeboarding. Summer days you'll find me grilling and enjoying nature.
I thrive on working with motivational speakers and event organizers, and product creators as they not only inspire me but also contribute significantly to my personal healing journey. Each interaction teaches me more than I could ever learn in a classroom.
I look forward to collaborating with you and telling your story in a way that resonates with your audience.
